USDemocrazy presents a series of short videos documenting the Occupy Baltimore movement. Rather than focus on the oft-purported ideologies of the protestors, these videos focus on the realities and logistics of the movement. The second selection in this installment, this video is about some of the security issues faced by Chief and other members of the movement.
Let us know what you think and be sure to keep an eye out for the third installment in our series.
We at US Democrazy love pranks; the Iraqis it seems love them more.
The clip above is from the Iraqi show “Put him in [Camp] Bucca” where a hapless Iraqi at a fake checkpoint is told a bomb was found in his car. Furthermore the victim is then told he’ll be arrested and executed as a terrorist.
HILARIOUS!!!!
We’ll let the source of the clip above provide an explanation (no subtitles sorry).
The first 90 seconds, where we descend into the madness of the premise, and then another minute or so at 11:10 when the “joke” is revealed. (In case you’re confused, as I was originally, the guy in the striped shirt and jeans is in on the prank. It’s the guy in the dark shirt who’s the target.)
Enjoy. Who knows this could be America’s next hit show [Hat tip to BLACKFIVE].

Film Festival
This week USDemocrazy is going hysterical historical. Our weekly film festival is featuring an important and quite recent historical event.
November 9th marks the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, a structure that separated East and West Germany and characterized the Iron Curtain for decades until 1989.
We found four interesting videos about the event starting with the video above. It is an ABC News report of the fall that gives a brief overview of the context of the situation.

Often, we at USDemocrazy find ourselves ignoring our editors. One way we do this is by keeping up with news videos. Not only are they are both more informative and more entertaining than our editors, these videos are more relevant too.
Several good sites exist on the web featuring news video. Our favorites are thus: …read more.

Welcome to another exciting episode of Full Court Press! (fanfare)
Today we aren’t talking about any confusing legal precedents, judicial opinions or other juicy stuff. Today we talk about YouTube! (Well, sort of…) Actually, we’re going to tell you about how the Youtube era is streaming its way live into the Supreme Court!
In an article by the New York Times, the Supreme Court of the United States finds its first petition filed via video link (video and Youtube… get the link?). This could have some startling effects, say the people at Harvard (some of whom are a lot smarter than we are). According to the the Harvard study, Supreme Court justices may be less willing to believe things unless they can see them with their own two eyes. (Sounds smart to us!)
Now, whether this is a good or bad thing may be way over our heads! Check out for yourself the New York Times article here.
