Twinkle, twinkle MANY stars? There may be more than THREE times as many stars in the heavens than previously thought.
Enough is enough. Iran’s President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has had it up to here with his nuclear scientists being killed.
SNOW DAY!!!! Northern Europe hampered by blizzards and low temperatures.
We here at USDemocrazy are cold. I mean, it’s really, really cold here, with the snowdrifts eight feet high during the Snowmageddon. It’s so cold that our brains are a little frozen… But not as frozen as Fox News’, apparently.
Fox made a little boo boo with several statements about the lack of global warming due to the recent winter storms all along the East coast.
In fact, Eric Bolling, host of Your World on Fox News, repeatedly showed “An Inconvenient Truth,” Al Gore’s book about global warming. He buried the book in the snow, talking about how, because of the snow, global warming cannot be true.
At the end of the section, Bolling interviewed a global warming skeptic, Phelim McAleer, who was dressed in just a t-shirt, shorts, and sandals, while standing in the snow. McAleer stated,
“It’s nonsense that carbon dioxide is dangerous.”
Stephen Colbert, expert newscaster (or hilarious comedian), disagreed with this “scientific” report.

Stephen Colbert stated, sparring against Fox News’ latest comments,
“According to my Dopplest 9000, it is dark outside. Now based on this latest data, we can only assume that the sun has been destroyed. The world has been plunged into total darkness…”

What’s white, expensive, and everywhere? How much does a winter wonderland cost?
The death of a legend. Charlie Wilson, former US Representative, dies after leading a movie-worthy life.

White House photos
This week brought a lot of snow to the Mid Atlantic region, including Washington D.C., and we thought this picture of The White House during a blizzard summed it up perfectly. We’re hoping once the snow storm settles, we’ll find a picture of the Official Obama Snowball Fight!
We at USDemocrazy are victims. Victims of the SNOWPOCALYPSE, that is.
If you live in the mid-Atlantic region, you know what we’re talking about. If you live in the northern mid-west, you’re probably thinking, “Um, OK.”
And since we are snowed in and absolutely bored out of our minds, we became unnaturally obsessed with snow stories and videos, which we’re sharing here. If you think it’s going to be boring, you’re clearly unfamiliar with how awesome blizzards are.
Snow can make people act crazy. But no one can act crazier than meteorologists, as evidenced by the video above, featuring a seemingly maniacal weatherman flipping out over the most recent mid-Atlantic blizzard. It’s awesome.
What’s also awesome is thundersnow. Haven’t heard of it? Well, the concept is simple: imagine a thunderstorm, subtract the rain, and add a whole lot of snow. And there you have it. They’re pretty rare, so meteorologists get worked up over thundersnow storms as well. For instance, Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel:
And Mr. Cantore isn’t the only one enraptured by this meteorological anomaly:

We deal with it every year. We put our pajamas on inside-out and wake up early to peek out the window and see if it’s white.
It happens every winter and we here at USDemocrazy love it!
Welcome to the season of the thundersnow! …read more.
