It seems like all of the presidential candidates are taking a page out of Sarah Palin’s handbook because this week, everybody is on a bus.
While the GOP’s top tier members ride through early primary states, President Obama is taking his case to the Midwest .
The bus tour gives the “campaigner in chief” a chance to be seen beyond his day-to-day Washington backdrop.
Of course, not everybody is impressed.
The RNC describes the president’s effort to engage in a public dialogue about job growth and the economy at town halls and economic forums as ‘a totally non-political taxpayer-funded administration event that just happens to criss-cross several battleground states critical to the president’s re-election’ in the Obama critique, which is disguised as a briefing book.”
No word yet on their reaction to Rick Perry’s new ride.

Yes, this is a post about health care! And before you hit the little red X in the right-hand corner of your browser, give us a chance!
We’ll admit, our eyes have been glazing over recently at any mention of health care reform. But we promise, NOW it’s getting interesting! Really!
You see, things are really coming to blows in Congress. The Democrats are counting the votes as they are declared to the press to see if they can’t just pass this bill.
It all started somewhere, but we’re not sure where that was. What we do know is that yesterday, Dennis Kucinich, a cute little gnome Democratic representative from Ohio, agreed to vote for the bill that faces the House now! …read more.

We at USDemocrazy are used to poor leadership. The more our editors want to talk, the more we want to walk (more often run) in the opposite direction.
The Republican Party is suffering from a similar problem. Only on a much larger scale.
The problem is Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman, Michael Steele.
He has a history of scatter-brained TV outtakes (he once referred to himself as a cow on the tracks blocking the health-care train). Some call it distracting, others call it stupid, either way many Republicans have had enough.
Yesterday, a conversation between RNC and Congressional aides, became heated when one aide called Steele a “fool” while a colleague suggested to the RNC “You really need to have him be quiet.” …read more.
We at USDemocrazy have always believed in the adage “The more the merrier”. But apparently more is not merry when it involves Rush Limbaugh and Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele.
Democrats, and even some Republicans, have painted Limbaugh as leader of the Republican Party. They cite Limbaugh’s recent hardline views of the current White House (like when he remarked that he hopes Obama fails).
Steele, who was recently elected Chairman of the RNC, seems to feel HE is the head honcho as he claims in the above video.
Looks like this party might not be big enough for the two of them (most of the space being taken up by Rush).
But don’t worry — the Grand Old Party is not about to become divided just yet! Steele quickly apologized to Grand Master Limbaugh.
Now Republican moderates are in a rage! They fear that Steele was not so steely when he backed down to hardliners in the GOP. They are wondering if this will be a trend in the years ahead.
For answers (or maybe more questions) on “What to do about Rush” check out this NY Times blog.
One thing is for sure… If Michael Steele wants to take the limelight from Rush Limbaugh, he is going to have some BIG (literally and figuratively) shoes to fill.
