Well Ellen, we have excellent news.
If and when ET’s relatives land on Earth, we may just be prepared to greet them. The United Nations is working on appointing a space ambassador to “act as the first point of contact for aliens trying to communicate with Earth.”
If aliens who land on earth ask: “Take me to your leader,” they would be directed to Mazlan Othman. A 58 year old Malaysian astrophysicist, Othman is the head of the UN office for Outer Space Affairs, otherwise known as UNOOSA.
Although there have not been any flying saucers in sight, what we have discovered are hundreds of new planets orbiting other stars.
