Okay… the Academy of Arts and Sciences in Hollywood has voted… but a lot of folks weren’t too happy with the results. Particularly on the big daddy of all awards – Best Picture. The Hurt Locker? Avatar? Precious?

I think District 9 should have won! Who can resist those prawns– especially the baby prawn?!?! Not only was it an awesome movie, but it left us with questions about things like xenophobia and forced evictions.
I’m kinda bummed that I haven’t seen so many of these. So, I voted, but my vote is biased.
I hated Avatar, though. Did anyone else HATE Avatar?!
How could Avatar not win this! I mean, I loved the original storyline about when Kevin Costner…er, I mean Sam Worthington finds that the exploitation of the Native Americans… uh, Naavi reprehensible. He finds true love with Pocahontas, gah, I mean the blue lady.
