Black Friday

We here at USDemocrazy hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and on behalf of the writing staff, and our gravy heads editors we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas!

These days it is hard to determine when the Christmas season begins or ends, so we just leave our decorations up all year long. But there is one day when most people get serious about Christmas…

Yes that’s right, it’s Black Friday. You’ve slept off the turkey, so it’s off to the mall for the years best savings.

Stores slash prices to unreal lows and everybody races out to get a jump on gift gathering. Black Friday is such a powerful day for shopping that some believe it has a direct impact on our economy.

The problem is, though its recovering, the economy is still no where near where any one wants it to be. This likely means fewer people will be inclined to make trivial purchases.

There are hopes that this years Black Friday will stimulate the economy in the way economists hoped it would last year. (Ha-ha they were way off.)

We here at USDemocrazy believe it is every American’s duty to shop (but not drop). So get there early, stay late, max out all your credit cards, and don’t hesitate to beat down that old lady who got the last pair of corduroy jeans. (Those are still popular right?)

2 Snide Remarks about “Black Friday”

  1. beachbabe says:

These two “shoppers” don’t look like they are having fun, or that they remember what “Christ”-mas is about — glad I stayed home!

  2. Shawn says:

I see they are piling gifts in a stroller. But Where’s the baby?
