We here at USDemocrazy don’t have any problems with shouting editors. We just put on our headphones when they’re in the vicinity.

We bet Peter Galbraith wishes his bosses were as easy to deal with…

Back in March, Galbraith was named the second in command of the United Nation’s mission in Afghanistan.

But Kai Eide, the UN special representative in Afghanistan, didn’t want Galbraith for the job.

Eide wanted the position to go to a European, fearing that the world would think that the US had too much influence over the UN mission.

Today, after only six months months on the job, Galbraith was fired from his job.

His dismissal came after Galbraith and Eide had a serious shouting match (where are the headphones!?!) over the results of the recent tainted Afghan election.

Galbraith says that the UN mission had evidence of election fraud, but that Eide did not want to make that information public .

The UN maintains that Galbraith was let go because of personality differences between the two former colleagues (Eide curiously played matchmaker for Galbraith and his wife).

Galbraith disagrees strongly…

But Kai Eide isn’t listening… or he’s wearing headphones.
