Finding New Ways of Getting Lost

by admin News

mapfor web

We at USDemocrazy are easily lost. Malls, parking lots, you name it… we’ve been lost there.

Now we read the mega important G-2o summit is coming to Pittsburgh this Friday ( The G-20 is a group of 20 countries that own the world’s largest economies).

Curious, we decided that we should go to the Steel city to check what the hubbub is about. One problem… without a map, we’ll get lost.

So after some websurfing we found some maps…

Not just maps… but we found an array of cool sites dedicated to fun and quirky MAPS! Check these out:

Strangemaps-A great resource for finding maps which may surely keep you lost!

PCL Map Collection-This University of Texas-based resource is useful for finding historical and contemporary national and U.S. state maps.

Global Debt Comparison-For its coverage of a planned conference in New York City later in the year, The Economist has this valuable map resource.

United Steaks of America-This blog entry on an artsy website gives new meaning to playing with one’s food.

Historical Atlas of the 20th Century-This resource may be helpful in that history class on one of the many conflicts of the past century.

WHKMLA Historical Atlas-This may help with that history class on a particular country or further back than 1900.

If you know more funky map sites or other cool places to visit on the web…let us know!
