The fact that the guns the Feds have already examined, which is only a small fraction of the total arms in existance, are from the US is very broad statement. It is too general and can encompass a wide variety of sources. Understanding our history which many do not, the federal government is the largest arms dealer in the world. The feds have sent billions of dollars worth of military aid into Mexico and the Americas for the ridiculous ‘war on drugs’ over the past few decades. They are not publicly releasing serial numbers or their orignal sources of the ones they claim to have identified. Again, the Feds are the largest arms dealers in the world.
Furthermore, if you look at the weapons they are confiscating, they are weapons that no civilian can legally purchase in the US (re. rocket launchers, grenades, heavy machine guns, etc…). Automatic weapons require a VERY difficult to obtain class III permit. So that throws out the theory of large quantities are coming from civilian stores inside the US. Why would they anyway, with a steady supply of cheap weapons from arms dealers elsewhere. Are we also forgetting that over 150,000 personnel of the Mexican army have deserted and a large percentage of them have taken their weapons home with them?? Are we not aware of the politcal corruption of Mexico, DC, and the corporate press here in the USA.
This is more blatant propaganda for more US police action/imperialism and the usurpation of the people’s liberty. Just like there were WMD’s in Iraq and Panama had to be invaded to stop ‘drug smuggling’. Use your brains folks and reason it out. The Feds do not and will not give a second thought to steal your last line of defense, the last check in the system, an armed populace. Defend every right that exists, even if it doesn’t apply to you, liberty lost is not easily regained.
If this site favors liberty it would do well to do better research and not cut and paste propaganda from corporate media who is owned and cooperates well with the moneyed interests. Democracy is one of the most vial forms of government anyway, almost worst than Monarchy….
